Endolaparoscopic Surgical Research Institute is a unique and
the first Superspeciality surgical centre of the North East
India truly dedicated to the art and science of Endoscopic Surgery.
It
is conveniently located at the entry of the Guwahati city on
the A.T. Road at Shantipur facing river Brahmaputra and has
built up area of 20,000 sq.ft.
A
50 bedded hospital is housed in a four storied building and
has provision for different economic segments of the society.
Direct as well as referred patients are accepted.

The hospital provides specialist surgical care in the

been trained in India and abroad.
Advance
Laparoscopic Surgery
Video laparoscopy is performed with the most advanced
and sophisticated equipment of Karl Storz of Tuttilingen, Germany.
To make surgery more comfortable mini and microlaparoscopic
Surgery facility is also available. Gastro intestinal and laparoscopic
surgery facilities available at the centre are comparable to
the best centres of the world. 80 to 150 basic and advanced
surgeries are performed in the three operation Theatres of the
centre in a month. Laparoscopic surgeries include gall bladder
stone appendix, bile duct stone, peptic ulcer, hernia, Splenectomy,
liver cysts, intestinal disorders,Rectal prolapse, ureteric
stone, undescended testis, abdominal cysts etc.
Video
Endoscopy for Gastro Intestinal Diseases is done with the most
modern state of the art equipment from Fujinon and olympus Optical
company Japan. Facilities for all diagnostic and various therapeutic
endoscopic procedures including ERCP is available at the institute.

OPD
Services
The hospital has modern and spacious OPD with senior consultants
available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Facilities for various investigations
are also available in the diagnostic wing of the Institute,
which is located at the basement floor of the building. Besides
Semi-private, Private and Deluxe rooms the hospital has VIP
suites, postoperative Recovery and the surgical I.C.U. with
the most sophisticated and latest cardiac and anaesthetic monitoring
equipment of Larsen and Toubro and Hewlett and Packard.

OPERATION
THEATRE COMPLEX
The Operation Theatre Complex housed in the 4th floor includes
three Operation theatres for Therapeutic Endoscopy, Advanced
Laparoscopy and General surgery equipped with latest state
of art technology and equipment of Karl Storz, Germany; Phillips,
Holland and Dameca, Denmark. Each theatre has a team of trained
nursing and technical staff. The 6 bedded recovery ward is attached
to the theatre complex in the fourth floor of the building and
